I was testing out a new bird and messing with the GV-1
the last switch setting was to 100% th curve.
The only problem was that I had the sensor unpluged.
In a blink of an eye it exploded. After several weeks of looking I found the gyro!
Note the servo case. The head blew right out of the side of the ship.
Lesson learned the hard way.

Man that is a mess...you are so luck.

But as a side note, I have had two GV-1 sensors fail for no reason and the GV-1 default to the throttle curves. IMO...the GV-1 sensor is unreliable and a risk by it self!

Oh yea, I have two new birds.
The GV-1 did default to the curve. the only problem was that the curve was set to 100% across the board.

Wow. I am finishing my build on the Pantera right now. I have never used a gov before, and I am installing one on this. Now you have me nervous about setting mine up. I bought the CY ATG.

How many times does it have to be repeated, it was not a fault of the GV-1?

He made two fatal errors. 1) Left the sensor unplugged, and 2) Used 100% flat throttle curve. There's no reason to do that with a GV-1. When the GV-1 is active, it totally ignores the throttle curve. It only monitors for a drop off of the signal in case you have the Stick Switch active.

The very reason I don't use a governor and trust in my curves

If it fails you need your curves.

I agree with reheli-freak21 a good excuse to buy a new heli

sorry about the explosion
