Please see the attached pic...they are both tail boom mounts. One is a newer replacement, the other is stock. When I use the newer one (has a plastic notch in it) the tail fits very securely, but the belt is extremely tight.
With the other mount (on the right in the picture) you can adjust the boom/belt as you see fit.
Does your tail boom go into the slot in the forward tail boom or can you simply move the move freely?

Anyone seen this before, have any feedback?

I hope I'm not venturing into "Gee, thanks Mr. Obvious!!! territory here, but are you making sure the notched one is being installed closest to the front of the heli?

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.
