e-Zoom, Shogun, Dolphin > EP100 / Pixie / Wink. Question.

I have seen this heli called various names.Mini-zoom,pixie,wink and EP100.
I want a small heli for the winter to use indoor.
I have seen a version called the wink/EP100 Pro.This as the stacked kinda modular frame in silver carbon like material.
Can anyone give any details on how it performs .Is it any good or best to stay away.

"WOW"

I just got mine outside today and I think the title sums it up....
It is small, delicate, FAST, and VERY controllable... I am still dialing it in, but I can truthfully say that I wish I had gotten one sooner.... I have the EP 100 Pro and I am liking it a lot and it is not complete yet.... now I need to go and cut/shorten some wires to clean up the install.... but it is worth every bit of time.....
I am looking forward to seeing it fly in a capable 3D fliers hands... if sure looks and feels as if it can do about anything you want....just a bit more fine tuning needed, but looks and rolls were very easy... I just want to change the pitch a bit so that I will have a more equal +&-

That sounds very interesting
I'm thinking of getting one and using my DX7, what do you think guys,
What are the flight times using 7.4 like?
Looks a fun heli-
Thanks for any help

DX7

I am using my DX7 on it with the 6100 rx... working GREAT...
The 7.4 (high output like TP) works just fine and I am running in at about 6-7 minutes but I am still setting it up....fun little machine....
I even already have my "box-o-spares" on hand....just getting ready for our indoor season!!!!

I really like this little heli and they have a boom extension kit (that I did purchase) that includes a new belt, longer boom and 190 mm blades.... I am still running it in the stock form, but with the extended boom it then becomes the Gaui 200.... and you can find Kyle Stacy vid's here on RR flying the "HecK" out of it....

Good Luck...Stan

Hey thanks for the info- doorman,I appreciate it
I haven't purchased one yet, not sure that I will, as I have a T-Rex SE and a Caliber 5 already, but I would like one, I reckon they would be great fun, apparently there a two versions which one do you have?

If you don't mind can I redirect you to this link

What is the difference with these machines, I think I want Gaui??, w/o the Tx but there are so many variations, I'm a bit some are 3800v, 4800v and even a 3200v motors and I see batteries vary as well
Any info would be great.

Cheers Ralph

Which One...

Hi Ralph,

The Pro Package + is what I have, except that I had servos already and I used the Logitech gyro, but that would be a fun set up...
I am running the 100mm blades that come with the stock unit (the one that you have listed) but I also purchased the boom extension kit and it comes with the longer 190mm blades... haven't tried that yet... I like to keep things stock first just to see if and how they function and then will play with the modes....
It is a fun little heli and at that price it is hard to turn it down!!!!
I don't have a lot of time on mine, but I am already having a lot of fun with it.... my weighs in at 210g ready to fly... so I am a bit heavier then they are saying in the listing sent and it works fine..
The Gaui name is also on mine and all the "spares" I purchased are marked Gaui. The Gaui 200 looks as if the only difference is the tail boom extension and the 190's....
Hope this will clear up some of your questions and feel free to contact me at anytime if there are others...
(oh and by the way I have a T-rex and a few others also... check the gallery!!! But this has joined the "fleet"

Good Luck, Stan

Seen some amazing vids- so far, and there are plenty of options available as well..

I checked your gallery a wonderful collection of photos and machinery you have there, you have obviously been in this hobby/sport for sometime
my collection is a couple of Co-ax, DF36, T-Rex 450SE, and my C5, one of these day I will set up a gallery as well.

Hey Stan,
Kyle just flew his Hurricane 200 in to second place at the iHobby World Micro Heli Championships in Chicago this past weekend.
He won the round on Sunday but couldn't completely overcome a low score on Saturday when his battery didn't make it through the flight. Jason Merkle put in two solid rounds and took first place.
The Hurricane 200 rocks!

Great News!!!!

Ray, you have to smiling from ear to ear!!!!!!!! That is great news and it couldn't happen to a better "TEAM"....tell Kyle I am buying the pie next time in town!!!!!

I flew my 100 this last weekend out side in the "wind" and nobody was believing that it handled it like it did.... Hurricane is a good name for them... they certainly will fly in one

Next will be to put the streched boom on it and try the 190 blades...altough I am having fun with it like it is!!!!

Ralph, thanks, and yes I have been into the heli's for a little while!!! I am the "nut case" in our area that has to try everything that I can!!!! And I don't see stopping in the near future!!!

Talk to you both soon.....Stan

What servos are you guys using in this heli? I am using the pino servos, but they don't center so great. I was going to put the new little Futaba digitals on it, but I am afraid they might be a little to heavy. We'll see.

Thanks. I dropped the 3154s in mine and it flies so much better, but they feel a little heavy. I might convert to the bluebirds to save weight, although it just feels good to have the digitals.

What did you have before the 3154s?
You must have done some frame modifications to get the 3154s to fit properly.

I have a Mini ZOOM PRO V2 so the frame is adjustable for different size servos. Until I put the 3154s in, I was using these servos from Helidirect:
