Open long needle 1 1/2 turns open. Open short needle 2 turns open.
Start engine and breakin for at least 1 gallon. Lean needles a click at a time as needed.
With the power of the engine, that setting is good enough to fly around.

and keep in mind the long needle valv is the mid range mixture control and the short is the high side

forget everything you read here and open the damn manual.
read it cover to cover than try to run your engine especially if your new to nitro.

& besides that you went from ys to os there is a HUGE difference in those engines. reading will tell you correctly what to do to which ever one you really have.

only you have the power to make no difference!

● Hover 1.75 ~1.50
● Low 0.75 ~0.50
● Full 1.25 ~0.75

Be careful, do you have a ST or SR?? The needle settings are very different, both the mid and high need to be equivalent to 1/4 turn richer for an SR, you'll lean run it else.......

Take a look at the post dates.

I think he got his YS running last year, and got a new OS this time, and posted on his same thread.

That's why he made the second thread, which he originally should've done.
