Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > T-REX 600N and CSM Flybarless

Hi Peeps, i have had some interest in my setup so I'm gona try and share as much info as i can.

I not a very good pilot so don't ask for any vid's
I'm Running some PTFE dampers (i think) very hard !
and I'm settled atm with 13' degrees of cyclick's and 11' degrees of pitch, i have trIed 14' 14' but i don't have the skills to managed it

pictures speak a thousand words

The head with Quick UK swash modded for me by Bud at Quick UK
Note using this swash you cant get the same swash tilt as the center bearing is much smaller, but with the direct link you have to reduce the travel at the servo by half to get the right ratio at the grips:

Swash phasing base home made with modded align alloy mixing arms :

Blade Grip Stand off extensions Bud (Quick UK knocked these up for me):

Reducing the travel at the servo, maybe not ideal but it works and allows the Quick UK swash to be used, so no need to worry about the align one falling apart :

CSM 720 Gyro Mounting, i chose to cut out a carbon base to keep them very firmly mounted together using 3G black double sided tape and another piece of carbon on top for extra stiffness then 3G tape to hold it to the boom clamp :

CYLOCK CL1 mounting i put it up front, again made a long carbon plate and stuck it to the servos and alloy rod :

Setup for Cylock this is 11 pitch and 13 cyclick's :

Setup for Ailron manly just coped from Trevor Burley's setup, thanks for your help :

Setup for Elevator again mainly coped from Trvo's setup :

So after a lot of messing around and a few hard landing, crashes etc lol I'm starting to really enjoy it, it's extremely fast the flip and roll rates are crazy, but its also very nice in fast flight, i did have a pitching up issues in fast flight and coming out of loops but 13 degrees of cyclicks has sorted that.

What swashplate is that and is there a reason for it over the stock one?

Why couldn't you just leave the washout off all together? Is it there just to keep the swashplate in place better?

you have to have that as it is a swash driver, with flybarless it acts somewhat like a phase ring does if I am not mistaken...

It keeps the upper race on the swash in proper phasing with the head.

Here is Bryan R flying a T-REX N with a Cyclock, I think he is running a lot more pitch though.

I like the way you put your electronics together very clean

I have not built a 600N, but is there not suppose to be a clamp ring on top of the main bearing?

Havent thought about a price really, but the electrics are £300 new so probley about £340 including the swash up.

not saying i am going to sell it just yet, im just curious as to whether there would be interest in the whole lot.

I sell everything eventurly i get bored and move on to something new , also there is a lot of adjustments to tinker with to get it to fly 100% how you like it, and allthough its working pretty well its not 100% for my taste.

One of your servo wires is cut. You need to be careful with that.
