| Am I missing something here... a hot start is when you start the engine with the throttle higher than idle, like say in idle up... the clutch grabs and if you arent holding on to the head, you spool up the heli... If you are holding the head, you ruin the clutch liner or at least damage it a little and after a bad hotstart, the clutch liner has to be replaced. Most of the time you grab the radio, find out why the throttle is going crazy and fix it... sometimes you have to pull the fuel line to stop it quickly or put your finger over the exhaust to choke the engine.... any way it happens, it scares the pee outa you and takes a wile to get your nerves back to start it up again.... most pilots only hotstart once or twice before they really check their radio before starting the engine
But Honey, I can't live with just stock..... |
