I concur that it's "ok". I give it a 7 out of 10. It is made from a mold (not fabricated from a block of aluminum) so it's not perfectly true, however I was able to get it pretty well balanced.

We had a guy flying Sunday that swapped the Gforce HO fan for the Align fan and he said it had more power.The Gforce cooled good but seemed to have more drag.

I just installed mine but haven't flown it. It's cheaper than 3rd party and comes with the magnets. You do need to install them. I drilled a small hole into each magnet hole to let the epoxy escape. The product seems nice and I think it will do a lot better than my original G-Force fan (not the SHO).

personaly i thought this upgrade was a bargain, basicly 12 pounds the lot if you take into consideration that here in the uk the rrp of the futaba govenor magnets is 4 pounds a pair (3.99) then the fan has only cost you 8 pounds

Put one in Saturday. Nice that the magnets come with it. When I started it on Sunday, I was amazed at how much air it put through the head just at idle. Never noticed that with the stock fan. Worth the 20 bucks in my opinion.

metal fan already have little scoop for magnet to put it in. Use fan balancer to balance it, if it off balance put another magnet but make sure govornor can't read that magnet but read the other.

i know the rev max throttle jockey only picks up one side of the mag so u can put both in and have it not read the other yeah!!!!
I just ordered the g-force high eff fan for mine and the bottom braces yeah!!!!

They aren't always off where the magnets are,mine was heavy 90 degrees to the magnets. You have to drill small divits with a drill to lighten the heavy side. If it's a small amount i woudnt worry about it,the crank is out of balance any way,you can put the heavy sdie even with the counter weight on the crank.

Most sensors work on polarity. You will have to have one positive and the other negative. If you do it wrong, it will either read both magnets or neither. Lucky for me I use 60 minute epoxy.

The CSM gov reads both sides,dont install both with it.

as i stated Revmax is this way I think futaba reads either side also.

ref the CSM govenor, it does read both sides but you are able to purchase a brass counter weight to balance it out
