Thanks for all the help, and I have fixed a lot of issues thus far with your help.

Now, hopefully, this last issue I have might be the final one.

I have the Tower Hobbies stock combo kit with the 6-pole heli-max motor, Great Planes LiPo 11.1V 1250mAh 3S 15C, and the HMXM3000
Heli-Max Brushless ESC 25A.

I think my Pitch and Throttle Curves are correct but for some reason after a full charging of my LIPO, I can get the aircraft up to a hover but there is only enough power for about 30 seconds of hovering. In addition, if I move the throttle to full it is unable to keep up with the max pitch of approx 8 degrees.

So I turn to experts, and been theres to help me with this one. If anyone is running this exact setup, please pipe in with any difficulties you have had.

Well, in my opinion that lipo is a little
on the small side. I'd suggest at least an
1800mah 20C rated battery.

Did you notice if the battery was hot after
landing?

You don't mention what radio you are running
but you might turn up the throttle curves and
lower the pitch curve a little in order to
make that battery work.

I run the same setup as you except I got an
UltrFly 25 amp ESC from tower hobbies. It has
better features. Soft start, motor timing, etc.

Good Luck,
Bob

AirmanBob nailed it.The lipo is small for your set up. I know you wanted reply's from folks with your same setup, but it will be tuff to find someone running a 1250mah pack in a 400 heli.

A.Bob, I had alread solved the radio issue, and have acheived a hover. Granted it was a very short duration, but the PC, and TC are both set right and work. I just "run out of juice", and while charging the battery is COLD as a cucumber and never heats up like typical NiCads.

What are some good batteries? I'm a very simple person and do take recommendations fairly well. What kind do you use, and what kind of motors do you run?

Good Lipos

Check out the reviews on AirThunder lipos. They are an underdog in the lipo market, superior to the more expensive big names.
