I cant seem to get the tail shaft out. It won't budge, are you supposed to simply pull this out? What am I doing wrong here? The part number is hmxe 9710. Thanks!

Depends.

If you crashed, the shaft may be bent just enough so that it won't clear the bearings.

Solution is to get a dremel and cut the shaft so that you can get it out in two or three pieces.

If you want to just change the gear....don't waist your time. Better to just buy a new shaft and gear assy.

Does that help?
