From what Ive read about 140 degree CCPM interaction problem is solved but only in the collective pitch axis. Your servo travel, and roll speed, will be faster on the roll axis vs the ele axis. The reason is the distance between the roll axis control balls is much closer than the the ones controling the pitch axis. 135 degree CCPM fixes this mechanically by having the same ball spacing lengths on the roll and pitch axis.

The ratio between the arms used on the roll vs the ele are 1.1414 : 1

The math is pretty easy to prove the above and Im very surprised this setup isnt used more often. It takes less code for 140/135 degree CCPM, vs the 120, in the ccpm mixer portion of my Probar system so Im so surprised as to why this type of CCPM isnt supported more?

Anyways my Probar system will now support 140 degree or 135 degree CCPM

Thanks
C

Instead of a 700 which Jason/Align is doing for us anyway how about the Align 660...or a even 550 version of the 600 for the smaller 30/40 class especially for the less able flyers offering an upgrade path to the 600n at a later date.

I mean we are virtually all Hard core flyers here commenting on RR there are lots of people just happy to hover fly circuits etc etc out there.

I mean even a high performance 30 is a lot of fun and cheaper to run.

A nice lightweight 60 class machine running 640-660 blades so I can use all my 10cc motor stuff + it's a fair bit more economical to run than a 90 which is prohibitive in fuel costs for many in the UK and Europe

Align 660?
A 2mm beefed 600 with some refinements to the Drive system to cope with extra power. I mean the basic design is there for any of you big block Guru's It would need a longer nose to balance it out, bigger tank, stronger mainshaft, spindle, blade grips etc but a lot of the design work and current components and upgrades are already finding there way on to the market.
All it would take at the tail would be a longer retro fitted boom/torque tube. AUW could be as little as 8-1/2lbs

Just a few thoughts..the end doesn't start finish with just a 90

Ever hear of Detroit Diesel?? 2 stroke with a blower, and turbo

Those engines use fuel injection and poppet valves driven by a cam shaft. Does not generally apply to piston ported carb engines, that's why you do not see production piston ported engines as lots of unburnt mixture would go out the pipe. It can be made to work but with very poor efficency. Tuned pipes are designed for a certain atmospheric pressure or internal pressure as the speed of sound varies with air density(reflected wave theory).I'm sure clever power and expansion chamber valving in a exhaust system controlled by manifold pressure and rpm might improve things, but that really has little to do with models.

Would I be right to guess that a fully blinged CF 700 with metal head, bearing blocks, tail, all frame braces, metal arms on control surfaces would be around 750.00-850.00? Just for the kit.

Align's lack to attention to detail won't cut it for a 90 size ship. eg sloppy flybar, swash, crappy dampeners, sh!ty fan.... oh i can go on and on......

sounds like the synergy, what a POS quality wise

ach get the violin out for stu, does nothing but moan (trust me, hear it every week) about the synergy yet his main flying model is still a synergy.

align and synergy have a lot in common, put out crap and let us fix it....just align does it on a larger scale and usually fixes it quicker because of this larger scale.

my advice for the trex 700 is wait a few months till the get the bugs sorted out and it'll be worth it. i forsee my synergys going when they appear.

cheers

I don't think that it's a lack of attention on Aligns part. I mean common, we had the top pilots in the world test flying these machines; we saw the pictures, and we saw the videos. I'm sure that during that time someone said, hey my one-way bearing is constantly getting locked up, its only 10 flights and my head is getting soft, and ohh crap where is the magnet. Point is these top pilots fly hard and put the 600n to the ultimate test, if we (mortals) are putting these kind of stress and wear on the machines, the pros definitely would have it worse.

IMHO,I think Align knew about the problems, and used hype pictures, and videos as the hook and bait. It worked this time on the 600n, but when the 90 comes out, i'll definitely have to sit back for a while and let others be the guinea pigs.

For $850
1) No issues on first release batch
2) Align steps up the QC on parts manufacturing
3) As much bling Align can pack into it

The problem is not the test pilots(JK,AS,DS)the problem is the the down word pressure on prices in R/C right now. Each manufacturer is looking for ways to cut cost, and that means cheaper materials! My 600N flies VERY, VERY well. However, it has never been crashed or even landed hard, and the skids are bent just from landing normally on uneven ground! Just today, i sat it down on the grass doing an auto, and stripped the Crown gear? No damage to the tail blades, the tail just contacted a small chunk of grass.

What I am worried about is other manufacturers following suite to stay competitive, and all the helis on the market being made of substandard materials. And whats even more worry some, is that the new people coming into the market don't understand the difference, and begin to expect the lower prices, further discouraging manufacturers from making high end machines. I am going to fly my 600N till something better comes along. In fact, I am watching the RJX Extreme pretty closely.

A few guys hit it right on the head, the people that can afford a .90 expect a quality machine, and Align is going to have to step it up quite abit.

The tough issue on the 600N is that it flies so well. I want to like this thing, but man, I just can't get excited about it.

Not sure what to do. Flies great though.......
