Thanks to everybody that's responded so far. It's good to know, it's just not me. Words can just not explain the feeling I got when I opened the box with the heli in it. I will say this though, he did pack the P.O.S. rather well. Why I don't know, maybe he thinks it's a thing of beauty or something when clearly it's not!

How did he originally describe the condition of the helicopter, and did you see any pictures? And what was his response when you said that you were not happy with the condition?

He said it was the same as I sent him, put fuel in it charge the battery and go fly it. When I asked for more pics he just sent me the same ones, I never did see any of the engine, that should and could have been a clue right there, and when I questioned the shape of the heli as compared to the airplane he basically said "He felt he got the worst of the deal"

Sorry to hear you got burnt. Just adds to the reason I do not do any deals online. If I cant hold look touch the item I am trading or buying I wont buy it. I dont see any recourse you can take other then telling others his name so they dont get burnt like you did.

All i have to say is: This guy is a jerk!!!!
Someone like that shouldn't be a rep.
Can't beleive there is people like that, anyway still good people here
you could trust.
I sold one of my helis here and before sending the heli I made sure everything was working and I packed it good so it wouldn't get damaged in transp..
I guess you do things and spect other people to do the same but there're some exceptions and this guy is one.

Life is too short,so I'm gonna fly as much as I can!!

tim

tim im sorry that you think you got took.like i stated to you on the phone after 1 flight i had to replace the elevator servo, and the second flight one of the aliron servos locked in to a slow roll and it went in on landing, you dont hear me bitching about a plane i got to fly 2 times.i can get my hands on anythere byron pitts just like the you sent (only white)and ill be glad to send it back to you.you stated that the plane flew great,i had a friend fly it(hes been flying pitts fors years)first and the motor died and it didnt float like you said it did.after a few hours of engine tuneing we tried again thats when i found the sevro barely moving on the elevator,so i changed the servo out and thats when the other servo went out.i all so told you that the heli had not been flown in a while, and i forgot about the muffler, and what you got a(used) all upgraded heli for a 15-20 year old plane, and the pics you post make the plane look a lot better than it really is.so you can say all you want about getting shafted,as i see it you still have a heli and can get parts if need,on the other hand this plane is old as dirt and cant be repaired.
the reason i sent you 35 dollars is to off the shipping.the way i see it it cost you x amount and it coust me y amount take the two and divide and this is how much more you spent than i did,not to mention the extrs parts that i sent you that i dont rember telling you was part of the deal.as far as the gov-1,i stated that it had gov-1 on it at one time and the sensor was on it.but i sent you along with extra new parts.the only thing i got out of the deal that was good is a new battery, thats for the 6volt battery.

Chuck, justifying the poor condition of something you sold by saying that you crashed what you received is crap. By your own admission, what you sent wasn't what you described, don't try to justify it, make it right. Your reply only makes you sound worse, prior to it I was thinking it might have been in error, but afterwards, it's obvious that you were dishonest, and KNEW you were being dishonest.

im not tring to justify anything,he stated the heli had problems that cant be correct,i flew the heli a month or so before the trade was made and the main shaft was not bent the clutch bell was not out of shape.if it was the heli would have shook it self apart.i sent tim a main shaft, tail, spindle and a flybar.

You guys would actually have to see this thing to believe it. The clutch bell is at least .030 out of being round for one, two, the fly bar out (look at the pics),feathering and main shaft are at least .010 out. And he says he flew this a month before we made the deal ? He told me all he had done was start it up to make sure it ran "real strong", that I might believe, but to actuall fly this would be an accident waiting to happen. And after closer inspection of the engine, I found the con rod had been super heated and discolored, the ring broken in 2 place and the piston on the opposite side of the exhaust has a tiny crack in it.
As I see it he owned up to some by sending some extra parts that are less than $20 with the GV-1 that was supposed to be part of the deal just to make himself feel a bit better.
No matter what he says it won't bother me, because I know what I did was in good faith. I spent more that 5 hours building a crate that would make it to TX (an did unscaved too)at a cost to ship of more that $120.00
That heli couldn't have been more that $40 because it took over a week to get here by UPS ground

there is no "felt" here....more like a raw dog screw job....

yep you unloaded one of your "special" cases...

looks like you got the great end of the deal...

BTW judging by the pics I've seen of that peice of crap heli, did you actually put the plane in the dirt? or are you just saying that to not inherit your POS heli back?

Common, really....post some pics...cause your credibility and your last response is crap....

If I'm not mistaken this aint the first time you've had some integrity issues either....

Wonder is gohbee knows about your dealings....

maybe they ought to find out...

Sorry is unacceptable. Re-instate your personality by returning his stuff back to him. For goodness sake, his crate for the airplane is worth more than the junk you traded him!

I've seen this "thing" up close and personal and to let everyone know, the picts in Tims gallery dont even do this P.O.S. justice... All the bearing's need to be replaced (metal on metal), it has two different landing struts on it one 30-50 one 60-90, he sent it with a bent flybar, spindle, and mainshaft, not to mention the junk engine and WTF is up with the radiatior clamping to mount the muffler to the engine????? Oh yea, gotta luv the string wrapped around the GV-1 sensor (the plastic part) and CA'd to keep it from falling apart.... (im not even sure the electronics he sent are in working condition, and judging by the condition of the heli they probably arent).

And btw CHUCK there is NO WAY this thing flew in the condition you sent it. IT IS MECHANICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!! I wish you all could see the bell rotating on the start shaft, after crying about it all you can do is laugh and get pissed again about it....

Chuck, if you really are a gohbee field rep they should kick you out on principle just for bringing helis that look like this to a meet or flying field for that matter. I've seen some temporary fixes for helis before but this whole heli is a temporary fix!!!

Chuck you are a down right poor member of the heli community and need to rectify this situation... Better yet, are there any Lawyers here on RR? Maybe a legal route is in order? A small claims case or deliberate misrepresentation or someting???????

I just feel really bad for Tim and so should you Chuck.

Yea really funny willy!!! Or is your name chuck nowell?

Glad I haven't dealt with you here on RR before for a trade or buying someting. You dont sound so upstanding yourself brother....

I can understand (getting rid of the hassle) you not understanding or taking the time to figure out your heli to fly it correctly, but to blatently trying to pass a P.O.S. off on somebody???? And Btw, it was supposed to be an even up trade, nothing was purchased......

THATS NOT RIGHT!!!!
