Buyer Beware !
Chuck recieved the airplane 1 week before I recieved the heli for which they were supposed to be shipped the same day too.

Chuck,
There has been a lot more things wrong with the heli you sent than you can imagine; of course I think you know that already.
So far for this to truly be an airworthy bird my parts list is nearing $200.00.
If you wouldn't have already crashed the bi-plane I sent you in the trade, I would have asked that you just send it back to me and we would call it even.
And I guess I should have asked you for more pictures of the heli than what you send me in the first place, which were probably taken when it was new too, but that is my fault.
I can tell you this though, IF I EVER THINK ABOUT TRADING THINGS ON RR, YOU CAN BET I WILL DO MORE HOMEWORK BEFORE I MAKE ANOTHER DEAL LIKE THE ONE I MADE WITH YOU!
You sounded like a good guy to deal with and still might be, but I sure feel I got taken for a ride, BIG TIME!
I never expected the heli I got from you to be perfect just like the Christian Eagle was I sent you, but as I said to you before, all you had to do was charge the NEW battery I sent, fuel it up with the fuel I sent do a little radio programming and fly it.
I also don't by what you told me about the servo going bad either; they have had hundreds of flights on them without a hitch either.
You also said that you would help to offset my shipping costs on the trade by including a $40 check and by including the GV-1 and some other misc. parts, of which I never got from you in the original trade, and the only way I received the check and the other items was to call you out on it. And when I did talk to you, your response was, I though that it wasn't part of the deal. By the way, the check was to be for $40. and you only chose to send one for $35.
The one thing that really erks me to know end is the comment you made to me when I questioned you on the radiator clamp to hold the exhaust and totally trashed Curtis MP on " That's the way they used to hold them on" You must think I am some kind of idiot fool to fall for that! We live in the 21st century and things have come along way since then.
Good luck to you in your future dealings, it just won't be with me!

Heli Trade gone bad!

I do realize that is a possibility, an I am not saying it couldn't happen either but, in the 7 years I have been flying it hasn't happened to anything I own yet (knock on wood).

I am assuming the pictures of the heli in your gallery are from the one you just traded. If my assumption is correct then I believe you just got screwed without the benefit of a kiss or even a reach around.

Broken motor, peice of crap muffler, everything looks very dirty like the tail servo dripping with oil and so on. The peice of wood block glued next to the servo, whats up with that? It looks like someones "crashed 20 times and pulled from the trash pile" parts machine.

Wow

What a piece of junk that guy sent you. The nerve of that guy. It looks like you spent alot of time packing the plane so nothing was damaged, and that guy sent you a clapped up heli needing parts, that I am sure will end up needing more than you see. I am a firm believer in what comes around goes around, and he will get his. Good Luck anyway, Tom

I made a mistake once, but I was wrong?

Apparently he thinks doing things like that is okay. Here is one of his posts where someone else was having a problem with a transaction.

when you buy online (used) you get it as is.you should have asked for pics before the tranactoin took place.i wouldnt send him anything as you told him about the probs before hand.a crash kit is only 20-30 bucks.if he cant afford to get on him self then hes not going to afford the fuel for it.i send detailed pics when i sell or i ask for detailed pics when i buy.used helis are as is!!!!

None of his helis in his profile look anything like that one.

Bummer

Buying used you do have to accept that there is some risk, but there is no reason for someone to put a heli like that on the trading block without disclosing it's issues.
The Christen Eagle was packed very cautiously and I'm sure it made it to it's destination unscathed, well done Bo993, that's alot of effort put forth on your part to make sure your end of the deal was upheld.

If he realy is a Gohbee rep, maybe an email to customer service at Gohbee telling them what type of people are representing them would help heal the wounds a bit.

I've had some bad deals here on RR, but I've also had some very good deals, try not to let this deal sour you too much.

Also I gotta say, that was a very nice plane, wouldn't mind having one someday.

Good luck to you, Alan

Yeah, by the look of that heli you got I'd say he crashed the plane and blamed a servo. I've heard this BS story before and many like it. The guy is obviously a con artist, and I wouldn't trust anything to come out of his mouth that would even resemble the truth. I've seen better stuff sticking out of blue 55 gal drum at a funfly. Never buy a used heli you can't look at.
