I am thinking about getting a heli-max MX450-XS heli and was wandering what the best motor/esc combo is best for it. Thanks.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

My son has the MX450. It's the CCPM
model with all aluminum everything.

He use's the AMMO 28-45-2700 with
an ACE 45 amp ESC. That is a 518 watt
motor at 28 amps. (got the motor from
tower hobbies and the ESC from ACE R/C)

It is very powerful and goes from a
one foot hover to a 50 foot hover in
the blink of an eye.

He uses the GY401 gyro which holds
the tail with no problems.

Esc motor

Just go Fly 500th with a CC35a esc. The JGF500th is one of the most powerful if not the most powerful motor that will work well with a 20c lipo.

I saw this last night.. MX450xs w/ motor and esc for $239. Says it's a display model.http://www.grandrc.com/inc/sdetail/38277. It reads like it has the motor and esc with it but on the requirements on down it says you need those items.. worth checking out

Thanks for the link, but they ARE advertising something that is too good to be true. I called them this afternoon. Conveinently, they are sold out and will not have them again. I knew it couldn't be right. The heli is $240 by itself and the cheapest motor/esc combo is $100. Oh well, I just keep looking. Thanks.
