| there is no perfect fan.
It all depends on what you want and all fans have pros and cons.
G-force HEv2: less load on the engine (alot less) cools slightly better than the stock align one. If you want performance and live in a moderate clima, that fan is great. You do need to be careful in high summer temps as you need to get richer on the needles. You need to readjust your sensor when you install it the fan is beafier than stock
3dx: excelent fan in high summer peaks (like 110F). Careful you don't cut yourself on the fins (I did 3 times). direct replacement for the align one. DO NOT USE TEMP READING FOR TUNING. This fan (and the G-force SHO Version) overcool the engine i.e. You can lean the engine so much it looses all its power but the freaking temperatures stay under 250F. You'll have to tune the engine by performance and sound, NOT by temperature readings. I was able to lean the engine so out it wasn't able to do a backflip without dying in agony lol. I would be worried using it in the winter. An engine needs to get to operating temperature to perform without too much wear and tear.
G-force SHO: The fan that cools the most but also loads up the engine like the 3dx. You will notice fluctuating engine rpms through the maneuvers (I recorded that both on this one and the 3dx one). The same I said for the 3dx applies here.
Now which one to choose? Thats the hard part. Make your choice unbiased as possible. Just because person A swears his 3dx gives him 10HP, reduces fuel consumptions and lights up a red light when you're about to go to lean, don't fall for it. Just as you should take my comment as a reference or clue but not as written in stone.
I tested them all because at that time there was alot of fuss about fans and I wanted to tell people which one was the best... after the documented tests I reached the conclusion, there isn't a best. Each and every fan have their advantages and dislikes.
