Nice pics! We have similar setup with Gaui 1500w 1100kv motor. We've been running the stock gears (new) at 2600 head speed for past 50-70 flights. They are very very quiet and smooth. So, you might want to give it a try before swaping the gears.

There is no sign of wear either. With 515mm, we are using 14T pinion.

The revco gears are even more quiet than the stock gears. This helicopter has to be my favorite. It flies great solid as a rock without spending a ton of money. It 3d's as good as my 600n just not as long. I would recommend this bird to anybody.
