Looks like you need to have a velocity stake in order to be able to installed that filter. Definitely a lot cheaper alternative to get the vario K&N filter.

I've heard about that happening before with the gas squeeze bulb pumps. I use one and haven't noticed any white flakes in my filters, but I'm keeping an eye out for it.....

A few words of Caution for clean fuel!

I stopped using the squeeze bulbs after noticing small pieces of black rubber quickly accumulating in the fine mesh inline Vario fuel filter. The filter is staying clean now that I'm using the Vario geared fuel pump, it's convenient, clean and fast. I believe Hanger Nine makes a geared pump as well.

I use the pressure system with a Blood pressure pump to pump up the supply tank...I use a ceramic filter inside the tank, with a clear paper filter on the fueling line....The only filter I use on the machine is the ceramic pickup inside the model tank....
