I really like the look of the blitz, it is well thought out and in reality you pay for what you get. I convinced to purchase but was a little dissapointed when viewing the 3d demonstration video by dave fisher. Is it his over stick thrashing or less performing ys 91 that is causing the load up all (engine bogging) all through the flight or is it the fact that it is a belt driven model. I would have loved it more (and i do love it without having one) if it was directly geared. I take it that they chose this option for noise reduction.

Can a few of the new blitz 3d owners please write their comments on the model loading up with o.s 91's in them.

Thank you.

Hello,

the avro does not lack of power at all with an OS 91.
Dave is more FC pilot i would say (but maybe i'm wrong), and with a correctly setup helicopter, and well tuned engine, there is a lot of power available.
I fly with a OS 91 Sz and have no power issues, i had a little at the very beginning and had to add a small additional shim on the motor then everything came nice.

Seems a good setup is using he CSM cab smart and a CSM revlovk (or a governor), then using direct motor pressure to pressurize the tank with a regulation valve seems to be the best setup.
I use Hatori 3D exhaust as well.

Then, everything depends on your flight style and inputs, even with te best engine, if you are not used to the heli or are more familiar with other flight styles ( F3C) it's hard to make 3D and keep RPM's if you have a little too strong input at one moment or another one
BEst regards,

Fabien

Blitz USA

From what I have heard full US sales and support is coming soon. A company here in the US is in the process of getting parts and kits from Blitz to support the US pilots. It looks like we will have another choice in the 90 size market soon!!

From the posts and the company’s website this looks like a really nice machine. The design of the heli looks great and the machine work oozes quality. If you are someone who likes to have really nice equipment that is functional and different than what everyone else has this looks like a great choice.

I gotta tell you, I have been peeking at this Avro thing since I first heard of it, If it ever makes it to market here in the US it just may take off with the higher end crowd, looks immaculate in design and quality. I look forward to seeing what happens with it.

Not just in the USA
Hope to see some local Importer pick them up as well, for our local support.

You may be avaible to get 2 or 3 plus all the parts for a kidney. A kidney is going for a lot of money these days

I've kept my kidneys....................but

got an Avro on the way

Going to pick it up beginning of Feb and I'm itching to get my hands on it already

Never flown a 90, so can't wait to compare it to my Trex600N

I'm going to use it for UK Sportsmans comps this season (AMA class 1,2 equivalent)

Going to be a long couple of weeks

My day just keeps getting better

While on the subject of parts - for those that fly 90s are the parts resonable? From my quick look they seem to be a bit cheaper than say the parts for a Vibe (judging from what I say a Vibes set of frames are!!!!! i.e., you could be a comlete raptor 50 for the price)

I admire the construction. I've always found the non-anti-rotation bar swash control systems to be attractive; I've never felt slop when I wiggle the swash with my fingers.
