FYI, on your second last photo.

Just an observation and may be entirely wrong as I cant see your last photo, I also dont have a manual handy, but....

I believe the mast locking ring goes below the top main mast bearing I am just going on the photos

John, you miss understand me, if you go back to SA you've got 2 years to qualify for the SA F3C team, which I'm sure is easier to get into than the UK team, let alone the American team (way too much competition there). Or you could go to some really obscure place (like Barbados!!) and declare yourself a competitor for the national F3C team.

marked23,

I believe at the moment all sales is through the website, including all parts and backup support. Blitz is starting small and don't want the headache of having to deal with distribution/shops etc. . .

I think you are slightly miss understanding me as well

I couldn't possibly afford to fly helis initially if I returned to SA to start up again.
But.... not if I get a last min out of a blue job offer thats worth serious consideration, based somewhere in the US mmmmm

Move over Curtis here I come

But.. Still to be confirmed, nor have I accepted, so nothing official yet.

I saw it at the Masters and was impressed by the design features and how it flew. well I am please that it is a British heli priced correctly and wuld like to support it.

The only problem I have is I find the canopy very very ugly and puts me right off. If only they had a more attractive canopy

I agree the canopy is not the prettiest around but it does grow on you and looks quite nice in flight and boy does it fly nice have not done to much with mine yet still running engine in but it flys like it is on rails and the rolls are so axil I set everything as in the manual and it lifted in the hover and sat there hands off. I just can not stop flying this thing its a pleasure to fly can not wait to start pushing it a bit
so far very impressed and the company is fantastic to deal with they always have time for you no matter what the question or request.
Just need to get the canopy painted anyone know a good painter in the UK. leadlag do not let the canopy put you off a fantastic machine well designed and engineered and Britsh too.

totally agree with alder my avro will be ready to fly next week just waiting for my paddles to arrive . the canopy is very well made and you must put your own design on it, you don't want them all the same.
i think there will be a long waiting list for this for this heli

I can't say first hand on the flight experience in my hands yet, but I fly with Alder and I am very impressed with the avro quality just oozes from every part of it. He brought it to the field when it was only half finnished so we could have a look at how it went together. When he eventually got it finished and it lifted off for the first time it is obvious that it is very stable in the hover, after moving on to forward flight it just tracked like its on rails. The flights were nice and carefull ( his first 90 plus engine run in ) but he did get to do a few rolls which were exceptionaly axial. He offered me a play on a few occasions during the day but I had to decline as it was his new baby and first day ( I couldn't take his fun away just yet ). Next week, weather permitting i will get my hands on the radio for some fun .

I am so glad I made his mind up for him on which 90 to buy

Guys, what setup options are you all using on your heads?

As I want to do a direct comparison from my current two FAI machines I have opted for the FAI setup (trailing grip, narrow bearings, with stubz) . Just think its nice to start a database of setups as there are so may variants.

Hopefully test fly this weekend. I Will let you all know how it goes in this format

I will hopefully turn it into 3D mode for Charmouth and the rest of the year

It flys sweet with the Vblades very stable and tracks staight and true but also crisp and sharp in the cyclic I can only liken it to flying a well set up sim this thing is going to get me in a lot of trouble it just begs you to go for it.
Had a good chat with Neal and dave at the 3D championship's they are bring out a setup manual soon which will be sent out to all that have already got one and be in the latest kits they have also replaced the ball links with a harder material nothing wrong with the old ones but these clip on tighter but are really smooth when fitted.I have to say thanks to Blitz for a great machine and great service. My only problem is keeping my mates hands of it you know who you are Arceye buy your own.
Canopie is going away for paint tomorrow so will not be flying it for a couple of weeks.

Buy my own ?? now why would I want to do that when I can fly yours and Trickytikers

Seeing two of them at the field made me think they are now too common and everyones got one . Was great to talk to Neal and Dave at the championships and express my feelings on such a fantastic model, can't wait to buy and build my own.

I will buy my own as soon as funds allow but I am more than happy to keep playing with yours and worry you some more

Tricky: It was great to meat you last weekend and I was happy to assist you with the final setup and test flight, looking forward to seeing you again in the future and even more watching you actually get chance to fly the model yourself. Be carefull on the sticks though its flipping fast.
