Anyone got any tips on removing the fuel tank nipple plug without tearing out finger nails or damaging the plug itself?

Personally i've found that the best method is to use a small phillips screw driver, like the ones from radio shack. Just get her in there and carefully pry it out.

Get'ur done.

Ha, getting it out is easy but putting it back without pushing the grommet into the tank is ANOTHER story.

It took me a few shots to get it in there also.

I used a bit of shock oil on the tank rubber, didn't want to use oil on the fuel though.

A little spit does the trick , and dries up later

I pushed mine in, and then took some long needle nose pliers and pulled it out.

I second what ringram2077 said

I'd rather be flying

Great to know that I wasn't the only guy who had problems doing my tank. hahahaha I thought Ive done this dozen times on raptors an never had a problem surely I am capable of doing the one for my 600N. Well few tries later and I got it. Needless to say there were some very unpleasant words leaving my lips.
But hey it's still a great heli to fly!!!

grommet and nipple for gas tank

I find it easier to put the grommet in the tank backwards. The thicker part of the grommet pertruding out of the tank. That way when you push the nipple in it doesnt push the grommet into the tank. Removing the nipple and grommet assembly is eaiser that way also.

i used a small phillips screwdriver and then i used some force-ups and i pulled it right out of there. it worked perfect. it didnt tear at all.
