hey guys...i just won a HDX 450 V3 off ebay and i will need to get a new motor i beleive. From what i have read on the threads on this heli and from the video's , the stock motor is pretty "doggy"....and not very responsive.


what would your suggestion be? I have seen the stock align 430XL in a couple of the new Vs rex kits and it looks to be pretty powerfull , but besides that motor....what would you suggest? I'll be running 2100-2200 3S TP extreme packs ( i have like 5 packs) . Would a NUE motor , or possibly a medusa work ok , and which one would have a little overkill on the power , but not destroy the heli?

already getting a new GY401 gyro and probably going with a couple HS-65's or 81's....not sure? And what servo should i use with this gyro?

any advice here would help...thanks guys!!

oh yeah....forgot to ask...............the motor size is the same as the t-rex 450 correct? So safe to assume that a good hot setup on a t-rex 450 would work just as well on the HDX 450 correct?

Yeah same size. I run the align 430xl, it is not the most efficient motor but it is fun! And cheap.
