Has anyone installed the Throttle Jockey Pro w/o taking the engine out? Is it possible since I put magnets in during the build?

I am trying decide if I can do it in one night and still fly Saterday morning? Also, if I take out the servos and put them back in, should I expect to do alot of head adjustment to get everything back to normal?

Time estimates would be helpful.

IMO it's easiest to take the motor and fan shroud out, and leave the servos in. Just mount the sensor on the outside (Instructions are on the aerospire website). Works great. And only takes about 2 hours start to finish.

You think your kids are expensive now?

Just wait until they move out!!

My rev max was actually quite difficult to install. I took the engine and fan shroud out, but ended up taking out the rudder and throttle servos as well to get access to the area behind the sensor mount. I mounted mine on the outside though.

USE LINUX!

Total time = 4 hours start to finish. I am slow but meticulous.

I install the RevMax sensor inside the frame using a bolt from the inside and a locknut on the outside of the frame. and have got quite a bit of practice installing it and removing it. I can now do it without removing anything in about ten minutes time, including routing and securing the sensor lead, with a pair of needle nose pliers and a hex driver. It is definitely possible for you to do it in an evening if you really put your mind to it.

I should note, however, that my bracket has already been fabricated to the proper length, and it may be a little more difficult to do that for the first time without dropping the engine and fan shroud.
