Hello

If you want to get a Pro that really preforms you will have to get a good electronic setup. It cost more but it is definitally worth it.

Here is a list of electronics to consider.

Hacker B20-18L or B20-31s(both with an 8 tooth pinion)
Castle Creations 10 amp brushless controller
3x HS-50 servos
CSM 200 HH gyro
Berg 5 Rx

With this equipment mounted on a Pro you will have awsome preformance an you will find that it was worth the money.

Here is Steve's, from Dream Hobbies, Piccolo Pro. Other than an aluminum center hub and a aluminum shaft collar his heli is stock and if you DL the vid you will see that it flys extreamly well.

Here is my Pro(note upgrades not needed, I got them becasue they look cool)

pitch on your pro carlo

hey carlo,

I've recently converted my piccolo over to a CP pro, with a similar setup to yours and steves, can you tell me what you are getting for pitch? top and bottom, and hover? and what head speed are you running at with your hacker b20-18L?

questions?
1. are you running 3 cell kokams?
2.does the bigger TR motor make a big difference?
3. Have you run hornet blades, if so , which blades do you like better?

thanks in advance

How does it compare to the Hornet CP?

Life's a journey, NOT a destination.

Hello Mckoi

I am not really sure of my pitch range but from the looks of my blade deflection I am getting a lot in both directions

I am using a B20-26s with an 8 tooth pinion and a 100 tooth spur, my HS is around 2500. The 18L or the 31s with an 8 tooth on the stock 96 tooth spur should give you similar HS.

I am usiing a 6 cell Kokam pack(3s2p) and it gives me about 16-20 mins of flight with about 10-13 mins of very good power, 3-4 mins of good power, and then about 2-3 mins of hovering power. There are usually a break in my flight because I just cant fly for that long, I need to land for a min and then start again.

The big tail motor does feel better in flight because it has more power and it slows the tail down some to make it more predictable. If you want to pick up a tail motor for the Pro go here.

Note you will need to get am 8 tooth pinion from

I would definitaly stick with the Pro blades. I like them becasue they have a constant chord and the seem to produce a lot more lift than the Hornet blades. The also weigh more so you can do autos with them pretty easily. I have done quite a few with mine and I havent had a problem.

Hey, Steve

Thanks for the nice comment

Hello Malorie

Personally, I like the Pro better than the Hornet CP. To me it seems a lot more solid in the air and it only uses one servo per control so setup was a breeze.

The only thing that holds the Pro or only micro back is electronics. Put Steve's electronics choice in a Pro and you will have a very powerful machine. Oh, and one other thing, if the motor that comes in your Pro has a black end bell it will not last long. Get one from the link above and you should be set for a while. I think the tail motor choice is the only thing Ikaus didn't do to well. They had the right idea with the motor size but they need the carbon brushed version to handle the abuse.
