Why did you buy a Hurricane over the Logo 500 3D?

I have already invested in six T-Rex lipo's, so now I can use them on either heli. With not having to buy new batteries, my 30 size heli startup cost will be alot less than the Logo 500. My 550EP Hurricane kit was only $340 which included motor, esc, bec & shipping. This is a larger, more stable heli that T-Rex'ers like me can step up to. I looked hard at the Logo's but I personally couldn't pay the prices.

for me it basically came down to price. I have flown many heli's both nitro and Electrics, although never a logo. I wanted to get rid of my nitro 50's and keep my trex 450 and get a larger elecric heli that flies like a 50 nitro. I started looking at the Hurricane because it was Soo cheap to step into since I have a Trex. to go into something larger I would need a new charger and $$$$ in batteries. but most all my Trex packs were getting old so they needed replaced as well. I decided to try a Hurricane even though they were still so new and i really didn't find much info at the time on them. but for $340 shipped to my door with heli, blades, esc and motor, and 2 battery packs I could not go wrong. And the packs I buy I can also use in my Trex. i picked mine up from ebay and it came with some cheap 18c packs which i use on the trex. so Far I just love this Heli, it really needs nothing to fly very well, and with some basic parts swaps it flies great, and if I want to upgrade the motor and esc it will be a real rocket, although stock it flies equally as well as my gohbee / Raptor 50's with a non hyper have. I have found Ready heli to be Awesome and parts very cheap. I think this heli is going to go places this year! So far my only complaint is the canopy is a bit thin and brittle around the mounting holes, but this can easily be fixed.

I went with the 550 because it has alot of potential to grow. I like the fact that it uses 2 3S packs, saves a little bit of money. On mine I am using the trex 600 CF boom and CF fins from custom heli parts, which make it look alot cooler anyway. CF frames are coming out for the heli as well which will make it alot better. I'm using 9650 servos in mine to save alot of weight, looks really good so far and am looking forward to all the upgrades being released for this heli to make it even better.

For me it was plain and simple, I can't afford to fly and maintain a Logo. The hurricane is cheaper and the parts are much cheaper. IF I had the money to spend and Heli's were my only hobby then I would def have a Logo 500 or even a 600.
