Anybody have any opinions about what kind off fuel pump to use for gassers? Can I use the same as for the nitro birds?

I have two same slimline pumps. One is used for nitro and the other one for gas. You need to use tygon tubing for gas.

The best one ive found for longevity anyways is made by MPI and it is for gas or glow. So far ran over 80 gallons thru it with no leaks!

It must be designed for gas or the motor in the pump or the switch can cause a spark.

here is the Best Pump in the World: arrange from the Best to worst
1. Squeeze Plastic Bottle.....I love Squeezing, its a little tedious, anyway I need to exercise my finger, no need to worried about Battery

2. Six Shooter from Dave Brown, Very Reliable, Never Leak, and you can determine the volume of Fuel going in, just counting the no. of turn (Silicon Tubing can last for a Years, its easy to replaced the Silicon Tubing)

3. Slimeline BOXXER, this is just an electric version of SIX SHOOTER

3. Plastic Syringe or Rubber Bulb (its Cheap but the Rubber deteoriate)

4. Hand Pump (can leak and often Break down)

5. 12 Volts Electric Pump (can leak, and often Break down)

The Above is arrange in terms of Reliability.....your choices will depend on how often you fly.....there are so many Variable to consider......I have tried all of the above.

The reason I prefer the Squeeze Plastic Bottle cause I seldomly fly, I usually fly once a week, and take 3 flight only with 250 cc per flight.....I need to make a very compact flight box, I do not want to carry 12 volts battery to power the fuel pump.

I've encounter a newer Hand pump that can be use for Nitro Glow or Gasoline, Gear pump mechanism is made of Aluminum....this must be good, its made by K&S and selling for about USD 60 and the regular Plastic Material is selling for only USD 15.

MPI is the one

I have been using an MPI Hand Crank Glow/Gas fuel pump for years. I bought the one I have currently about 6 years ago, and it still works like new, and no leaks. Best hand crank pump I've owned or seen.

This Boxxer Fuel Pump is designed to run on 12V DC power.
For Glow Fuel Only, using this pump with gasoline or diesel fuel may result in an explosion.
