change bearings

You can do it 2 ways

Get a dremmel and drill the old bearings out

Slide in a slim expansion bolt, tighten it up, get a pair of mole grips around the exposed part of the bolt, turn the starter shaft back up the right way and whilst holding the starter shaft firmly in your hand start hitting the mole grips with a hammer. The expansion bolts will grip on to the inside of the bearings and with the force of the downward blows by your hammer on the side of the mole grips they will eventually slide out.......

Ya, but.........

The shaft contains two (2) one way bearings and after you pay for them you might as well go to Zoom's, they have it for $37!

Pro Flex Bearing

Take some modeling clay and roll it up like a noodle and stick it in the opened end of the bearing. Leave some room to insert a 6mm shaft into it. Next set the Pro Flex in a vice so that the 6mm shaft is facing up and hit it with a hammer. It will hydraulic the bearings out. I use this on roller bearing all the time.
