Stolen? Missing Helis or Equip > Attention Las Vegas Pilots!!!!!

Today, my small box trailer was broken into at the Galleria Mall. Me and my son stopped there to get some lunch and someone cut the lock on the side door and cleaned me out. All my transmitters (3) Two Trex 450 helicopters, my field box with all my tools, my triton charger, my ThunderPower charger, two Align boxes full of LI-Po batteries and spare parts. Just about everything I have except the Boomerange....TG! As of now I am effectivly out of the hobby as I had almost all of my equipment stolen....

If you see any of this stuff please contact me as quickly as possible and call local police. My number is 702.283.0246.

Thank you!

Look For:

1 JR PCM10SX Heli Version
1 JR 9303 Heli Version
1 JR 8103 Heli Version ( this was my son's and has a QD attach point where the neck strap hooks, that will be a dead give-away...)
2 Align Trex 450 SE's...Both have Canomod glass canopys and will be missing landing gear as they ripped them out of the mounts in the trailer
2 Align silver boxes, one will have my Trion Charger, and several Li-Po batteries as well as a glow driver charger, the other box will be full of Trex parts
1 Silver case with a Thunderpower Li-Po charger, Balancer, and cords. Also a Whatt meter in in there as well.
1 Hobby Shack silver field box that contains all my tools, all my crystals, meters, and full pumps.
1 Red Top Ultima 12v Car battery
1 HD 12v battery charger (all the cables are neatend up with a green velcrow keeper)
1 pair of wel used avaition safety wire pliers ( if I can get one thing back it would be those as they are my most prised tool and I have had them 20+ years)
1 hobbico starter with rubber mount for car batteries along with helicopter starter probe

Also, I will pay good money to anyone catches the perps and holds them until I get there....

Thank you for all of your help!

Dave,

DAMN That SUX man!!!

I'll keep on the look out.

I'm sure you know but could possibly show up at a particular shop in town that consigns things. Check in there.

If it helps I've got an 8103 that's just been collecting dust for the past year or so I'll get to you. No module in it is all. New batteries though

And if I catch them there won't be anything left to hold for you. Farging Iceholes!!

Thanks John...

Very nice offer for sure...like I said I have nothing, no glow driver, no way to even start a heli or charge a battery...I am working with Home Owners Insurance now but I think they are choking on the numbers for the value of my "toy" helicopters...it is a process of educating them...

And, by all means feel free to beat anyone you find with the stuff, I have a tractor and lots of land, the bodies would be hard to find...

Before....

After....

Sorry to hear

For starters I would notify Nice Twice and the other hobby stores and let them know what happened. Someone may be trying to get it into consignment, or try selling it off or something. Since I don't think that the low lifes that stole your goods are in the hobby, they may be out trying to cash it in(Pawn Shops).

I hope that your models do get recovered. I guess its a lesson learned that you should never ever put all your eggs into one basket.

Good Luck

Unfortunately from what Dave has said in his post, I think someone in our hobby committed this theft. It sounds like they followed him from the field and knew what they were after.

I'm sorry for your loss Dave. Hopefully they are caught and your stuff is returned.

Everyone, Keep an eye out on Ebay and Craigs List. Dave, keep an eye out at all the local fields and tell all your fellow pilots that if someone is selling out their stuff, dont say anything an just get their info...and prepare for a sting!

Sorry to hear your luck but will your auto or homeowners insurance cover any losses?

Good luck!

Thanks guys for all the support. It totally sucks that people have to be that way and I really hate seeing all the stories about guys who get ripped off.

We will recover one way or the other but it is good to know extra eyes are out there looking.

Thanks Again!

No Updates....matter of fact the case has been closed by Henderson PD.

This has been a learning experience. My advice to all would be to make damn sure you have pictures of your stuff and receipts too. My insurance company is balking about the dollar amount. I am at 7500 bucks and I have not padded anything, it is all legit and I am sure I am missing something, I just can't remember everything.

Anyway, for you guys that have 10-12 thousand dollars worth of stuff I would advise a rider on your home owners insurance, keep all your receipts, and take pictures.

Man I just read this and it sure the hell angers me. People like that shouldn't be allowed to breath the same air. But you did give me a good idea as far as taking pictures of all my heli equipment. I do have at least 10k in equipment and never thought about taking pictures. I hope you at least get most of it back from the insurance company. And they did this at lunch time? In plain daylight? What low lifes, too bad they wasn't caught And I'm assuming no one saw anything either If you do ever cross paths with them low lifes, give em a knuckle sandwich on my part Good Luck, Jimmi P.S. I wish I could point you to the direction of breaking some noggin and introducing them to some combat boots
