| I have both machines. And from what I have read in these posts, I have come to the conclusion: SET UP is EVERYTHING. I have two raptor 50's. The first one that I set up doesn't fly as nibble as the second one. BUT, As I progress.... My set up and builds are getting better. I'm starting to pay more attention to my set up. I just went back and re-set up my original R50. I added some mechanical gain to the aileron and elevator and installed digital servos all the way around.
When I first set up my 600N, I did a bone head move and only put in four degrees of cyclic. But, I didn't post that my R50 rolls faster than my 600N. I thought that's not right. Now I have 8.5 degrees of cyclic in the 600N. I couldn't tell you how many degrees of cyclic that I have in my R50's
My point is that some set ups are hot and some are not. An R50 properly set up will pull off any 3d move.
Having said that IMO the 600N will allow for a hotter set up. You can put in a few more degrees of pitch and cyclic, and the machine is lighter, all of this makes for a more nibble machine, hands down. I also, find that the 600N tracks very very well.
Now the R50 IMO is an easy machine to work on, from pulling the motor to replacing any part. I love it. It is a very reliable machine and the mechanical mix makes for easy set up.
Summary, I'll be keeping my R50's and my 600N, and I need to learn to do a better job of setting up a machine for my flying style.
