Try to keep the Butterflies to a minimum, and take a deep breath.
Good luck on your maiden!! I'll be facing one soon with my new 550 EP too.

LOL my maiden didn't even last 5 seconds. The pinion came in loose. Thank goodness for the 600 Nitro I got in 8 flights today. Guess my 550 gonna have to wait till next time.

I just recently had some constructive flights with it. I have to say wow compared to my trex 450se. I'm currently running it at 2000rpm on 2 cheap 2500mah flightpower evolites. Very decent power, pullouts are about the same as a 50hyper on 15% nitro. Stable and fun. Now I just gotta get it trimmed out better so I can do better hurricanes!

Thanks for driving over to the West Bank yesturday Tom and letting me fly your 550. It flies pretty sweet. I can't imagine how much better it would be once you drop in some faster servos and higher C packs.

It flies really smooth and is really predictable in the air. I need to get one once I'm done paying off all my bills

Anytime buddy besides I knew you were itching to fly a real heli. I don't see how I could be without one for several months. Thanks for the little tweaks and advice. I can tell that my tail is holding a lot better. I just redid my gear mesh and I got better backlash now. I'm gonna try it out tomorrow and see if I get better performance and longer flight times. By the way, your flight took out 1900mah. So basically you had another 100mah to discharge to reach 80%. Once a good carbon frame comes out in the U.S. new packs and new pinion will be installed.
