Not so. If the TT won't fit then it has to be the boom. There are 2 types of boom, but only one TT. The only change for the TT are the o-rings, but you find the plastic bearing holders don't fit (As mentioned) and you have to sand these down.
Do you have a dremel? Take the sanding bit and remove the band. This leaves a rubber wheel. Run the dremel at a relatively low speed and use the rubber wheel to spin the bearing holder on the TT. Then get some medium emery paper to reduce the diameter. I used 180 grade. Take it slow and check the fit. It's important that you test the holder with the bearing in as I found it compresses otherwise.
