| I was an IRCHA newbie too, my first year. I flew from New Zealand to go and it was well worth it. The flying was awesome and I met a ton of great people (thanks Bobby ad Will for being so cool and letting me hang with you!).
It was nice to put faces with names from RR too. It was fun hanging with Inkspot and others. This event proved to me that I am part of an awesome hobby with mostly amazing people. Sure, there are always the primadonnas and pains in the arses but they are few and far between I observed.
The flying was incredible and the weather was smoking. I almost melted waiting in line for my free Trex 600 Crash kit! Sunscreen was a must. They DID have free water stations setup though and a sprinkler misting tent. This was a well run event but the flying stations were pretty tight based on the few flights I spotted people for. Unless you could fly tight, there were overfly's. No dramas and all in all a total blast. I won't likely fly over again for it but if you can get there - do it. You will not be disapointed.
Cheers all.
