New & Emerging R/C Helicopters > Fixed my Mode 1 HBK2

To be honest I'm not sure if this should go here or not, so move me around is need be.
Last week I told you guys that I have received my HBK2-RTF. Well, it came with Mode 1, which was a surprise to me because I don't recall even seeing an option of modes with the application to the Hong Kong company I ordered it from.
I posted here about what to do, and got everything from "send it back" to "hold the TX upside down", and "put the Xtals from one into the other", and so on.
I emailed the company and told them of my delima, and should I send it back, or what. They were very nice, and sent a email saying the I could fix it myself in 10 minutes if I wanted to. "You bet" said I, and they sent another email with the instructions. Well, maybe it took a little longer than 10 minutes (more like 30), but it was a snap, very easy. It involved opening the case, and switching a small switch from one position to another, then removing the "rachet noise maker" from the know on the right, to the know on the left, and last, taking a few parts from the right hand gimbel and installing on the left hand one. That one was a tad tedeous, and I could have used 4 hands if they were small enough. Afterwards, I closed up the case and tried it all out,and it worked like a dream. Thanks to Camus and Loki Wong for the help.
Now, what do I think about it? I'm not ready to say because I have so little time on it, or the Blade CP. I do enjoy the both of them, that's for sure. I can hover the Blade within a square yard probably, letting it bobble from ground zero to a few inches, and back down. I think that the HBKII will do the same, if not better
once I have some more time on it. Also, it almost sounds like a turbine engine because of the speed it's turning the main blades and tail blades. I have training balls on both heli's, and it's a good thing. I also have a Blade CX, which I find to be fairly nice to operate, it's so darn steady in a hover. Anyway, I'm sure enjoying the hobby!
