e-Ikarus Piccolo-Eco 8/16 > Upgrading Piccolo to CP + gyro

Hi, I have just put a CP upgrade on my original piccolo but now I
find the 290 motor is a bit weak, maybe through much use.

Can I fit a Speed 400 into the piccolo, and if so what voltage
motor is best. I was thinking that the speed 400 might be too
much extra weight is the tuning 310 a good idea or should I look
for another motor in between.

Also, I note that to get a nice rotor speed I set my throttle curve to
100 100 60 100 100. I see that this defeats the revo mixing in
the picoboard since there is no throttle change at the extremes.
Is this the normal way?

Is the gyro in the picoboard plus better (without the heading hold)
than the standard picoboard. I notice my heli doesn't have quite
such a good tail response, like in stops than some other helis
at our club which all have plusses.
