Align T-REX 600N 700N > Main Gear Turns to rough to be normal

Hey guys what the heading says. When I turn my rotor head the main gear definately feels to tight. Does not spin as freely as my other helis. Does it need to be run in to loosen up or did I do something wrong?
Got a big job to finish today so I will check back later for my solution

Usually happens that way since I joined

Shouldn't be tight, there's no adjustment for pinion to main gear backlash.

It may be that its running to close to the Auto-rotation tail drive gear, this could be caused by the one-way bearing being pressed incorrectly into the main gear. (This was a common problem on the 450's)

Have a look to make sure that the two gears are not to close together.

hey colsy, that is not it but thanks for the info. i also tried tightening the 3 blocks slowly incase to much pressure was applied. Not the case either. IT is not extremly tight to turn. Only roatates about 2 full turns when I go to spin it by hand...
I will check the one way as I have a boca one I am installing before I even fly it. going in it tonight.

Also where can I get the fancy wire coils to cover and protect my leads?

its ok it wont freewheel to many turns. go fly it.

if its belt driven mine seems a little tighter then my torque tube

I had to loosen all the mainshaft bearing blocks and the clutch then retighten.
