I think this has been covered. Try a search and you should find the thread.

on a somewhat related note... Anyone using a pin instead of a switch? I'm new to nitros (but learning fast) and I'm not sure I like the pin. It looks cool but is in the way and I have been known to drop it or mis-place it.

You remove the pin when you are ready to fly. Re-insert it when your done.

The pin is a nice idea, you could put a velcro tie around it and wrap it around your neck strap when your flying so you wont loose it. Keeps it handy. If you use a neck strap that is.

trex600crasher, One thing to keep in mind is that if the pin switch should fail, they fail in the "on" position, not the off. I've heard horror stories about ships going down in mid flight due to a failed slide switch, due to excessive amounts of vibrations. So for me it's just one less thing to worry about. Here is a pic of how i mounted my pin switch.

Thanks, I'll stick with the pin switch. My neck strap has an extra hook hanging on it so maybe I'll try keeping it here when flying.

I mounted my flag pin to the front metal landing gear mount. I used an old remote glow plug mount which fit the round flag pin perfectly. I had to slightly trim the bottom of the canopy but it fit very nicely.
