Align T-REX 600N 700N > One-Way Bearing Issue Count

Original locked up solid every flight - tried various lubricants. Replaced bearing and sleeve, this was OK for about 2 flights then locked up solid as well - the clutch does spin very freely though so it autos ok with the oneway locked! However it would be nice if this was sorted out...

I haven't got in my hands my Rex yet so maybe it's a stupid question but here it is.

I understand that the Align one way bearing can easily removed from the gear. So why don't you just buy a better quality one way bearing from your SKF distributor and replace it and done with it?

Is there any other issue with the gear or something that I missing?

Sorry again if this is stupid but as new Trex owner I am also interested on this problem so my initial though was that and as soon as I will get my kit I'll take the one way bearing and will visit my SKF distributor.

Sotiris, that is what I did. The bearing just presses out and the new one presses right in.

Just fine so far. I didn't get mine from a SKF place but they would probably work just fine. I just think they put some bad bearings in there. Has anyone who has replace the bearing with one from anybody but Align had a problem?

Mike thanks for the reply. As soon as my kit will arrive I'll go straight to the SKF for a high quality one way

George SKF is one of the biggest ball bearing manufacturers making BB for almost anything. All my engines have SKF BB and never had a problem.

Got my new one-way and sleeve.

Old sleeve measured 11.98mm. New one measured 12.02mm. I could tell there was quite a big difference in the way it fit and turned inside the one-way.

Will be flying it soon................

Hi all

I have a question. I bought my 600N about 3 months ago and my one way hasn't failed yet. In the meanwhile, I heard about the new 600139T sleeve so I ordered one just in case and I got an alternative HF1216 (SKF) bearing from a local supplier so I would have a spare one at home.

Tonight, while I was doing some preventive maintanance on my bird I decided to measure my original stock sleeve and behold... its 12.02mm wide... exactly the same as the "new" 600139T... whats up with that? I thought the new sleeve was diferent and I have a 3 month old kit that has a "new" type sleeve?

I'm confused now

Tony

What are we at..35?

My "new" one way started locking again today. This is the "complete kit" they sell.

So thats...I think #3 for just me? All in about 3 mths. There is an issue and I wish they would admit it and fix it.

They admitted it alright. Their description for the upgrade part reads "for preventing locking"

But if you already experienced a problem with this part number, it sounds like they haven't fixed it yet!

One Way Lock-up

Barely two tanks of gas and one way locked up completely. Went by the local Hobby Town and purchased new bearing and sleeve. They happened to have the new sleeve with the slot in it. Installed last night, will wait to see how long it last. Align really should address the issue and provide replacements. My 2 cents.

The one way beaing in my Pro has not locked up since the last crash.
I have not actually flown it since then, but I keep going down stairs where it is sitting on the shelf to check it every day. so far so good!
The sport locked up on the second flight, but I am not going to bother messing with it, until I hear of a fix that works.....

My mistake. I got the one that is pictured above. I guess it is not really anything new, but at this time at least it is working.

So far 100 flights on 600e, no lockup
and 51 flights on 600N Pro, no lockup

All done with lots of heavy 3d.

The only problem was on the original 600e sleeves that were too soft. With the newer sleeves, problem solved.

The BIG secret here is to use TRIFLOW oil every 50 flights is you do a lot of autos and make sure your sleeve's surface is smooth.

Try it

mine locked on the 1st flight, looked at it and found one of the plactic sleves that hold the rollers is broke. they need to find a new bearing . this one will not work . it lets the rollers move around to much. you can lube it as much as you want . if it breaks it's done!!!! what is happening is one of the rollers is turning side ways and it will lock. the plastic that holds the spring is to weak!!!!!!

Has anyone else tried using a petoleum base graphite compound? I tried it today on my 600N and flew all day without a lock-up....
