Nobody knows a permanant fix yet. I dont think there is one with the bearing supplied with the kit, mabey a better one from a bearing supplier will do it.

I saw an email from Align yesterday that stated they were furnishing part number HN6064 as a replacement. I believe this is a new part. Question is will it be better.

I just noticed last night that the one-way in my new sport is different.

Does anybody know the difference between the one I have in my Pro with 4 sets of 4 bearings, and the one I have in my newer sport which has the needle bearings spaced out evenly???

Got off the phone today from my LHS and they inform me to send back my oneway bearing housing with bearing and bearing shaft as an upgrade is coming in next week which they will exchage free of charge under warranty. As it has be recognised that the bearing shaft is slightly undersized and that is what is causing lock ups.

How's that for customer service

You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!!! Muahahahaha...

I think he is confused. That is how I put my Raptor 50 in last time, and the reason I bought a second Trex nitro!

I wasn't planning on going to the hobby shop that day, but I was flying my Raptor, and I did two tanks of inverted hover. I was holding it really good and was excited about it, and I got cocky and did a couple of low loops and "inverted" figure 8s.

Then one of the loops was too tight and too low, and you see, we have these 7 to 8 foot piles of rocks at our field. Well, I'm sure you know the rest. It was half way through the loop, and I was trying to calculate whether it would hit or not. At the last second I decided it would, so I hit throttle hold. She slammed in, but had very little damage. Even the blades were OK!! Just a bent boom, flybar, tail blades, etc.

Sooooooooo, I decided to see if Robin's hobby could get me back in the air (usually go to HeliHobby cause it's closer). Well, he had a Trex 600 Nitro Sport just sitting there all lonely and I made the mistake of asking to look at it.

So I started thinking, if I REALLY transfered everything over to the Trex Nitro, I could have a great flying bird for less than $400. Of course I've never JUST transfered everything before, but you know how that is! So I asked for the best price since I was a regular (I should have stock in his shop...), and the steal was so good I couldn't resist!

So if it wasn't for the Raptor V2 eating it that day, I'd still be flying it and the Trex Pro............

Anyway - Thanks again Robin's!!!

And yes, they did have everything to get the Raptor back in the air.

By the way, I sold the Kasama Head, the Kasama Fan, and an old Quick UK Fan and the Raptor V2 Kit separately - and MORE than paid for my new Trex! I came out ahead!! Wooooo Hooooooooooo!!!!!

Had a few lock ups. Finally replaced the one-way bearing and the bearing shaft with the 600 electric replacement parts I had kicking around. So far no more lock ups.

I ordered a new ABEC3 bearing from HeliDirect and just got it today.

Here is the new bearing.

This was the old bearing.

As you can see the new bearing has less rollers and the springs are built into the cage. The old one has more rollers and the spring is a seperate metal piece. The new bearing has a much tighter fit on the sleeve. As a matter of fact is doesn't rotate nearly as easily as the old one. I cleaned out the grease in it and put some ATF in and that freed it up some. I will hopefully test it later and see if it locks up.

I got a flight with the new bearing and it is still free so far. Time will tell how long it lasts. It doesn't turn quite as free but it is about the same as the Raptor bearings I have had.

for people with bearing problems

i would replace the bearing! i replaced mine with the one sold for the 600E version. The stock sleeve fit much tighter in the bearing and no lockups in over 30 flights.

One thing just occured to me. If the bearing inside diameter is 12mm how is the new sleeve that is over 12mm going to fit? I think the bearings are out of spec and they are trying to make a sleeve to fit the bad bearings.
