Align T-REX 600N 700N > One-Way Bearing Issue Count

Interesting turn of events the last few days has been.

I actually recieved my Boca Bearing, but I also got another 600N kit(belt driven). In the meantime, I picked up 3 of the complete one way assemblies(may never use them all, but who knows). But I noticed that the new kits now come with one way bearing grease. Also in the meantime, I picked up some thunder tiger one way grease and lubed the first machines replacement with that. And it is actually much smoother than the original was. I am guessing they just began including the grease in the newer kits. But I purchased my first in October and I thought the issue had been resolved and noticed by then.

But the bottom line is that I now have two extra one way assemblies, an extra tube of "align" one way grease, and a brand new pretty boca bearing in case any of the above decides it wants to act retarded.

Man.... I had no idea what an addiction this was going to be.....

Dude! That is my thought on this issue! Never can have enough of a cheap part! If one goes bad on the field, I will have a spare and will not have to twist my face up... LOL

I have one of the first kits out last may and it came with one-way grease from Align. You best bet is; throw the one-way greas crap in the trash and use tri-flow. I have over 250 flights on mine with the original(now one year old) bearing.

Badrap: Was that the red grease that was included? I used that grease when I built the machine. It was the only grease that came in my kit(wow, I am thinking missing part!). And I am trying the triflo on the next one "if I need to". Since I have a few of them, I am going to experiment. I also since I have the boca bearing may use the triflow in it if I have to. And to make sure, are you talking about the triflo grease or oil? I at the moment only have the oil, but I can always pick up some of the grease also..

yes the red grease is the Align one-way grease. Use the Tri-flow oil. Before every outing just let a few drops weep down the main shaft into the bearing.

Ok, got ya. The one way grease I have in the new kit is the red stuff and thats what I used. So ok, you said a few drops down the bearing correct of the oil? Just let it drip on there? Just tinking off the top of my head, how would that work since the sleeve has the little lip on it? Does it still get down in there? Or do you invert your machine to do it? BTW, thanks for that tip.

Yup, just let it run down the shaft. THe oil will find its way down. You can also flip it inverted and do a couple drops up from the bottom, although not nessacary.

I use the Thunder Tiger One-way grease on my bearing and have never had a single issue.

Ok, will do. Thanks for the tip. Now, if I can only figure out the link length needed for the carbsmart...LOL

I also noticed they have a removal tool for the one way so that will make things much easier when I do have to remove it..

I locked up my third one at the weekend but managed to unlock it. swapped it out with my friends who hasn't locked one up yet and he didn't manage to lock it up, he isn't flying 3D 'this make a difference'. I couldn’t get his to lock up either so all is good at the mo.

One thing I would like to add though. I have tried an after market bearing and lithium grease but on this one I cleaned all the grease out and ran it clean. It lasted way longer than any other bearing so far. ‘8 UK gallons’ about 130 flights
