I’m flying and my clutch is engaged ( engine running at max ) and I pull full neg form height so the heli descends rapidly, the blades can over speed and drive the engine faster still. I know how the clutch works, thanks though.

Ah, I don't understand how that can happen. The bell should not be able to spin the clutch unless the *clutch* is locked up. I would think this would be due to the Gov not set correctly or your curves being off.

Are you running a gov, and what brand?

I understand what you are saying about the clutch staying engaged, but mine has been locked up most of its life (I had the first in my area, and it was almost like the one way locking up was part of the preflight) and I have never had the overspeed thingy happen to me.

I got a new bearing, cleaned the old grease out and replaced it with wd40 lithium grease, after 5 flights the bearing is still working great.

Thanks
