HBK2 - INFORMATION

I currently own a Blade CP and been having a tough time learning to FLY it, don't get me wrong - I'll take it up 20 or so, but with out a heading hold gyro, it's hard to fly.

So I'm a little nervous about get the honey bee, because I don't see that any stores around my area carry them or parts - mainly the blades.

I would hate to order blades from Cina/Hong Kong every 2 months.

Thanks!

Jerry

Helidirect is pretty quick on shipping parts and in the US.

I agree with using helidirect. We dont stock helis or parts yet and they are the best US source, pay the $6 for priority shipping and with the blades being around $9 get a couple sets at a time. plus the king is SO MUCH EASIER TO FLY. Heading hold gyros are mainly for wind and 3D flight, if you get you regular gyro set right, its perfect. with me owning 2 of them, i have one on HH gyro and one on stock Gyro. I started flying a CP Pro before I got these, and these are so much more worth the money, even if you have to wait a few days for parts, still much more worth it. Plus I have upgraded to brushless on both and I still have less money in one than I did with my old CP Pro with superskids. here's a couple of pics of mine, not counting batteries I think i have about $260 in each (also not counting that i switch to a DX6 Transmitter and AR6000 receivers) but i still have stock TX and RX laying in a box. Oh almost forgot the carbon fiber blades, paddles, and tail blades so ok $300 in that one.

Gyro Problem

[size=small]
Just got the King 2 and tried to fly it. Gyro LED stays red, won't initalize and turn green??????

Any ideas.

Also bought the HH gyro EK2-0704A, haven't put it in yet, was going to fly it stock right out of the box. Pretty new to this, need help with hooking it up to the receiver. Instructions from ESKY are useless.

More Info

[size=small]
OK, installed the HH gyro, initializes Ok, LED goes from red to blue, throttle up and it spins uncontrollably, checked the rudder pully belt and noticed that it had jumped the guide where it comes out of the tail tube returning to the main gear area. Shutdown. Put the belt back on the guide, ran it again and it jumped again. This prevents the tail rotor from spinning up to full speed, thus no yaw control. Tried to tighted the tension, no help, the belt slides down the guide and loses tension, won't stay up on guide as designed. Guide seems to have a slight tilt to it. HELP!!

several things can create your problem. the guides are supposed to be SLIGHTLY tilted. Turn the tail rotor and see if you can feel something almost like the belt is grabbing. Next, make sure the belt guide washers are on correctly and that the tail rotor is turning the proper way. Tail rotor should be turning counter clockwise and the upper washers for the belt pulleys should have the raised center down against the bearing for the pulley. Next look to see how the belt is tracking on the main pulley. if the belt tilts down to meet the pulley, you will need to install a small washer to the top of each guide pulley to move them down just slightly. Also if your belt is too tight, it will do more damage than good. Hope that helps.

Tail rotor belt

Thanks for the tips, I'll get to work on it. I think the guides need to come down a bit, a washer will help. This will help line up the belt and guide.
