Heli-Driver Elite Veteran Location: Arlington, TX
| R60 Cooling fanI have the TT blue anodized fan and I really like it. It screws onto the shaft so you don't need any collets or anything like that. It is balanced quite well and seems to have more surface area than the stock fan.
I upgraded mine because I had a problem with the stock V2 fan. It is made of plastic and aluminum and they tend to separate, mine did after about 20 flights. It didn't screw anything up but did get the heli out of balance and could have torn the clutch up if I had run it longer.
I prefer the metal one piece fan any day over the stock two piece.
I haven't seen the Quick fan so I can't comment on it. Personally, I can't see how it could be any better than the TT metal unit unless it is cheaper.. I purchased mine from Cyberheli and got a great deal on it.
hope this helps!
PS_ I would recommend pinning the torque tube ends to the torque tube, the tubes have been known to slip and will result in a crash in most cases. I lost mine and it resulted in a major crash. I won't fly the R60 now without first drilling and pinning the endcaps to the torque tube. Do it, it only takes a little work and time and could save your heli.
