| OK. So, the rubber band slipped in flight unplugging the battery lead on the receiver.
I just rebuilt my CS Vigor. Replaced all bearings, main spindle shaft, blade spindle shaft, fly bar, main blade holders, fly bar control arms, clutch lining, control arms, and tail boom brace.
There was no damage to the tail boom or the tail rotor blades.
First flight after the repair. Blades tracking. Everything looked fine. Go to idle up #1 (1400rpm) everything good Idle up #2 (1900rpm) and the horizontal fin vibrates about 20mm!!!
STOPPED. Rechecked all screws and bolts (with a torx wrench) checked the backlash on the TR to bevel gear. Everything tight.
Second flight, I still have a bad vibration showing itself in the horizontal fin.
Any ideas where to start looking would be greatly appreciated!
Been there done that! |
