yea, I thought about that.

I went with the current location because:

1. Slightly lower then the main tank feed.

2. I was able to mount it in tighter to minimise the Ugly foot print and drag(like that really matters on a heli) and hide the hardware so it looks cleaner.

3. Able to service the main tank clunk with out removing the header.

Dave:

Do you have a part number for the Canopy stand offs?

Is it the Raptor 90 canopy support set PV0501?

Thx

i don't have the part number, because it came with the canopy that died a hard death.

I will look it up and see what I find.

Well I just got done installing a header tank but I didn't put it on the bottom. The main reason I was considering that was because I didn't think I had the hardware to mount it elsewhere... Well I decided to look through my big bag of goodies (random screws, parts, pushrods, etc.) and found some spacers. I got it mounted on the back where the tailboom support is and is nearly perfectly inline with the carb (everyone happy now?). I still want to try it on the bottom, but I think I'll try it on a CHEAPER machine or when I'm a pro at autos.

Header tank is a good idea. I like put one on too. How much longer for one fill up? close to front or back better?

Every thread needs a moron so I will volunteer

Leave it off, seriously not starting a war. I was worried at first but decided not to mess with a header tank after seeing JK wring the thing out till empty. I tried to get this thing to quit with it low on fuel and it just won't. I am using a fuel magnet and have to keep it wet so it does not deteriote which is a pain remembering to always pump the exhaust gases out but they work. Also we all know not to use the supplied clunk line. Happy flying.

Try these

Either two of these will get you into business. Your LHS will have one of them most likely. Never had a problem with either just remember to get the exhaust gases out of the tank and keep em wet. Think about how long the fuel line in your fuel jug lasts.
