My dad has an ECO 8 he's been building up. Having some problems with flight times tho...We are running a 'purple bull' motor (tower hobbies), with HS81s throughout. getting about 1500 HS, but only 4 mins of hover time, then the batt's die pretty quick. We are running GP 3800mah battery (10 cell). Any ideas? Oh, and unfortunately, I misplaced the instructions for the purple bull motor, and I know there may be some timing adjustment for heli use, but can't find out what it is. Thanks in advance.

flight time

I have a brushless mega motor in my ECO 8 and when using 3800 10 cell packs I limit flying to 6 minutes....after that the batts go down very quickly.

I think as said already, the brushed motor will degrade and use more power.

When I use a 4400 lipo pack I can safely get 2, 10 minute flights.

I would not expect too much more from the motor your using, have fun, learn to hover, side to side, etc, when posible, upgrade to a brushless, you won't regret it.
