I have the stock HDX-500 motor and 60A ESC. I was running the heli up without blades and the motor is very smooth but in the 70-85% range the motor will stutter or kick. It is O.K. above and below that range. Is the ESC timing set wrong or something else perhaps?

They all have shrink tube on them so they can't touch.

I have noticed that brushless motors will stutter like that if you do not have them under a load , most manufacturers will tell you NOT to run the motor with-out a load..
