Well I had the king of all dumb thumbs this morning. To off, switched to idle up flying away, came around to do a loop, RIGHT INTO THE SUN!!!. I got blinded and disoriented, heli came down moving FF inverted, I fed in negative, but gave the wrong cyclic input and it hit the ground full tilt.
The result aside from the usual crash parts like blades boom torque tube.

I broke everything.
Hyper 50
Muscle Pipe
611 Gyro amp and sensor and servo
Rev-Max Throttle Jockey Control Unit
AR7000 Spektrum receiver
7.4V 4000 mAh Li-po
Duralite Regulator
9254 Throttle Servo
Tail case
Swash plate bent an arm
5965MG servo.

Needless to say, I'm out a brand new 600N aside from the bearing blocks, screws, 2 servos and a fuel tank.

I think I'm taking a break for a while before I shell out the $'s to replace this bird.
Enjoy the pics

WOW. That is some seriously good work. Don't think I've seen the cylinder ripped pretty much clean off before.

They always look better in a few days. Sorry bout the loss, those are some impressive pictures.

Sorry for the bad crash man. I've crashed the crap out of my Sceadu 50 over a two year period and NEVER had it look that bad. So much for the 600N Durability.

Man, I feel for ya.

Had my share of heli disaster lately but what happened to your Hyper is nothing short of impressive. That's gonna take more than a dab of loctite to get back up....

I can't believe it

FALSE ADVERTISMENT

I thought this thing was able to handle hard crashes without frame damage like it says on the box

Keep in mind guys, this hit the dirt, imagine if it did hit asphalt, I wouldn't even have the 2 servos I have left

You sure you didn't hit a rock? I don't see any dirt. Seems crazy the motor broke like that in the dirt. Guess the muffler broke the engine?

Oh I forgot, Arizona dirt is just like concrete

Looks like my buddy just put the one in today. It's also a total loss.

I don't think these things will fair well in hard crashes. Align is going to make a killing.

man tough luck on the crash.. I watched two people slam em in hard this weekend and broke nothing more than the norms..

I have only ever seen one shattered engine and it hit pavement..

There is sure a lack of dirt on that thing.

Ohhh, I feel sick to my stomach. Sorry about the loss! I haven't duffed my 600E yet, but I'll bet it'll hit harder than the 450's I'm so used to rebuilding.

Cracked that cylinder head clean off- wow.

OOOh My God

I never saw that much damage on a crash.
This damage is way over $1000,-
That's still hurting I guess.

I put the $ figure @ $1500 to put it back the way I had it, so I probablly won't be flying a 600N anytime soon. The t hing flew great while I had it though. Best 50 I ever flew
