I recently came in from flying. During the flight, my dad tested out a new handheld tachometer on my heli. According to the tachometer, the rotor head rpm was 1300, so I decided to experiment with the idle up functions. I am happy with the results! The rotor head rpm is much higher now and the helicopter behaves a lot better then before. In idle up one, I have the throttle set at 75% bottom, 70% middle and 75% top. The rotor head rpm is now about 1600.

I would question the 1300. What model is it? 1600 is low for me, but flyable but I'm aftaid 1300 would make it damn hard to fly.

Thanks

It is much harder to fly at 1300rpm. I am afraid to go higher then 1600rpm without thrust bearings. At 1600rpm the helicopter flies so much better. I do not know what model the tachometer is, but I will check later.

What do you mean by "What model is it?" Do you mean the helicopter or tachometer?
