I just bought a 3dMP... Although I have wanted one for as long as they have existed - so it wasn't at all impusive. But a harrowing thought just crossed my mind. If I crash my new baby will I be able to still get parts for it. If so how long for do you think. I have been trying to get onto henseleit site for 2 days... Must be down for renovations - so I don't know if parts are readily available.

Welcome to the MP owners club.
Love mine, and miss my 3DNT (but going fully electric meant it had to go)
Parts are readily available, and Jan has publicly stated he will support all of his models for at least 10 years after he finishes producing them.
The MP is still a current model, so parts will be available right up to and beyond 2017.
In the UK, Revolution models is the only dealer, however you can order direct from Henseleit.
Not sure if there is a dedicated USA or Australian dealer, but pretty certain Cyberheli in Hong Kong is also a dealer.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that

I'd like to know where you found a kit? Been waiting/looking for a 3DMP E for over a year now!

I bought the machine off of someone who decided he didnt want it anymore. Hadn't even built it! he decided to go electric instead - bought a T-rex.

I've been trying for years to get one I was told last year by an overseas shop that Jan would start producing the 3dMP once he got the MP-XL in production. I was told earlier this year that Jan had changed plans and decided not restart producing them. Who knows???

Throttle servo mounting

Hey guys. I'm having a bit of trouble getting my head around the fact that the throttle servo is mounted to the frame via double sided stickyfoam. What is everyone else doing? or, Am I being precious?

May you post pictures about that ? The voltz servo are bolted directly in the aluminium servo holder on a 3dmp... Is it Volz servos?

He is referring to the nitro version which indeed only is suppose to use a throttle servo attached by double sided tape.. I personally wouldn't feel the best about it and find a better solution.

If you dont succeed the first time, try and try again. With heli's keep on trying!

Ok, now I understand

Regarding the nitro, I have no opinion as I should never fly a nitro

I just went through this with mine. At first I tried the double stick tape, but was not happy with that. It sticks well, but has side to side movement, resulting in inconsistent throttle control. Since that is unacceptable, I ended up making a custom mount. I just used some scrap CF to make mounting tabs, which are CA'd to the CF frame. With holes drilled in the tabs and taped to 2mm I used some 2mm hex head screws to mount the servo. Just flew it today and it works great. I will try to post a pix later.
