| Nice day of flying, the wind was a little on the high side, but whatever. Finally got a friend out to the field that has not flown since Oct. And on the 2 flight he plows his Raptor 50 in hard. Enough that it would be easier to buy a new kit. So, unphased by his crash I take my 20 flight old 600n up and start beating on it. Get about half way through the flight doing some low stuff and the elevator stops working pointing straight at the ground. As soon as I could hit throttle hold it plows into the ground nose first at about a 80 degree angle. It hit hard enough to bend the tail boom about 75 degrees. It also sent the battery (2 cell 2100) with the entire receiver mount through the fan case and fan. I hope the black g10 frames come out soon!!! Do not what to spend $130+ on carbon frames. I will try to get some aftermath pictures up tomorrow.
I am still trying to trace down the cause, but I am leaning towards that it is bad connection on an extension, or it came out of the reciever completely, or ???.
Damage so far: The "regulars" All the gears frames canopy fan set gov. sensor fins receiver tray battery
So now when somebody else crashes a heli... I'm packing up!!
Don't you just love this hobby?? Paul
