its been a while since Ive been in gas helies, about 15 years ago I flew planes and 40 sized helies on 15% nitro fuel, now I run boats on 25%
I just got a OS32 on a Concept, the only hobby shop around here couldn't tell you the difference between a piezo gyro or a mech. not at all a heli place, so what does everyone run for fuel%

thanks

I guess I'm the oddball that runs 15% on my helis (I run OS 61's and a 91). Most of the guys I fly with use 30% Coolpower.

I also have a Concept 30DX with OS32 and have been using 15% CP. Was flying it today actually and as old and obsolete as it is, it's rock solid in hover and flies great.

concept1,
I have never flown in Youngstown. I fly in Eastlake, Kirtland and in Newbury. But I met a couple of guys from the Youngstown club though last June at the Corsair club funfly at the Summit County Fairgrounds in Tallmadge.

Nitro%?

Alex, you're not the only oddball, I have a case of 15% I will start on soon. My skill level doesn't justify the cost of 30%, up here it's about $45 per jug! 15% is a bit easier on the wallet @ about $23 per jug. --------BladeRunner.

Thanks, John Cadwell

I've been running Cool Power 30% since I started flying helis, but I tried Performance Plus fuel and there is no difference between the two since they changed the mixture. I heard they are going to revamp the bottle to a more modern look. Performance Plus is cheaper too. pretty cool

Everyone hear, with the exception of one odd ball , runs CoolPower 30%. I run it as well and I like it. I did run 15% for a while. But after I gave 30% a shot, WOW it rocks. So I never went back. Here it is about $21.00 a gallon if bought individually. I usually cant afford to buy it by the case, becouse I use that money for replacement parts.

Nitro Percentages

Howdy!!
I run 15% Wildcat (18% oil) in my 60s with a Muscle Pipe and am very happy with the power/ smoke that it gives. The Wildcat has more oil than the CP 15% and seems to be just as good while giving you a nice smoke trail. And lets not forget the sweet scent of the all Klotz oil.. It's better than Channel #5.. In my 30s I run 30% since power is so marginal in a 30, even with 30%. Please check to make sure that the OS 32 that you have is the "SX". If it is the older "FH" I can tell you that it will not like the 30% as much.. It will run, but you will hear it ping (detonate) quite a bit and it will run hot.. With the FH it is best to mix 30% and 15% wich will give you 22% fuel, that seems to give maximun power in that older motor..

Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours

Another Odd Ball kinda sorta, I run 15% Cool Power In my Ergo 46 Standard mix with the OS-50 , The OS-32 in my raptor needs a little help so it gets 30% Cool Power. It's all in what you want.

I would recommend running 30% CP, but 15% is more than enough, the Os engine run happy with whatever you got. IMO

Cool Fuel

MobileRaptor,
Works good - That OS .50 in your Ergo sure sounded sweet today at field.

I use Cool Power 15% because I am too cheap to buy the high priced spread.
The 30% sure is impressive in some of my flying bud's machines.

Percentages

I'm Running the Performance Plus 15% in my OS-91 and OS-50, this is the new formula that's only avaliable in southern california right now. I tried the 15% in my YS-61, for now I'm going to stick with 30% there, too early to tell.

Hey, Chris! So you tried the new Heli Performance Plus fuel. As I was saying during our discussion, the needles are the same, the oil package is excellent and the price is great.

Richard.
