yep, 2100RPM is SWEET! Better cooling that allows leaner runs.. SWEET! Engine bearings going out after about every 30 flights... NOT SWEET!! How many of you 600n guys have already eaten your rear bearings on that poor Hyper or YS? I see a LOT of 600N guys running at least 2000 because they can.I may be wrong, but I believe this is going to be the accepted cost of running the 600n hard. (or any 50 size heli for that matter).
Just curious, thats all. - Anupam

The hyper seems prone to this, its not a 600N specific issue
And i feel 30 flights is way too soon
Lean running and certain fuels may add to the problem, there is a feeling among a few of us that Magnum fuel could be a suspect

We thought that as well, but he have a Hyper in a R50 that only eats Coolpower 30 and it still goes through bearings.
Hes been using sealed bearings, its lasting much longer now. Yes I said sealed. Thats what I though but its working for him.

You wouldn't believe the cooling at 3500 rpm! Just a few clicks out from fully closed and it has more power than a properly setup 90!

3500 rpm, I would love to see that, from behind a foo shield maybe though.

I almost hate to mention this because I used think it was crazy but has anyone considered the "crank mod". Some people swear by it. I did the mod recently but I don't have enough time on the engine to have much of an opinion. At least I don't see a down side to doing the mod other than voiding your warranty. If you don't know what the "crank mod" is do a search and you'll be overwhelmed. Here is a nice power point file someone put together showing how he did the mod:
Nope, don't believe either, but love to see a good crash.
I'm sure it won't be long before someone tries it. Sure is a lot of bigger, faster, stronger, quicker, lighter, mentality around here. Not to mention those who can defy Newton's laws of physics.
